Born in Stockholm 1988, Linda Oláh started her career at a young age, working within musicals and operas. Today she has developed into an improviser, composer and singer of rank that works within a range of different musical contexts, stretching from interpreting the compositions of Moondog and Kraftwerk together with the French group Cabaret Contemporain, featuring withthe Umlaut Jazz Big Band, to singing contemporary and improvised music in different groups, such as: Charles 313, Luna Maze, Dix Ailes, Lovers, nOx.3, Magnetic Ensemble, Dark Horse and Joining Forces, among others. She also has her own solo-project and leads and composes for her own quintet BELLE. Furthermore Linda also has a wide experience in cross-disciplinary work and has frequently collaborated with dancers Toby Kassell and Ingeborg Zackariassen from the Gothenburg Opera Dance Company.

In 2016 Linda was awarded a long-term artist grant from the Swedish national art grants committee (Konstnärsnämnden) and in 2014 national grant from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm.

In February 2017 Linda released her first album with her own quintet BELLE, receiving top listing from critics and labelled as a fantastic album with concentrated and careful but also dreamlike and suggestive qualities.

Linda has a Master’s degree in fine arts from the Academy of Music and Drama (2013) and a Bachelor in jazz and fine arts from the Academy of Music and Drama and Conservatoire National Supérieur in Paris (2010).

Linda is also one of the co-founders of the website and interactive platform Improvised Vocal Forum (www.ImprovisedVocalForum.com) together with her colleagues Isabel Sörling and Casey Moir. The website aims to create an open platform where singers and vocal improvisers can share thoughts, ask questions, receive helpful tips and find inspiration and encouragement.
