Lilianna Krych

Conductor of the young generation; member of the creative group of the contemporary Hashtag Ensemble, where she co-leads the first Polish contemporary music stage – the Hashtag Lab; founder of the Match Match Ensemble. Nominated for the 2022 Paszport Polityki Award. In the 2023/2024 season, she is participating in the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme. 

Her artistic activity revolves around opera and contemporary music. She is fascinated by the interpenetration of various arts – opera, theatre, music, visual arts, as well as vocal, body and movement art, using music and theatre as a tool for analysing and commenting on reality. 

She has worked with the Grand Theatre – National Opera and the Polish Royal Opera, where as music director she produced Benjamin Britten’s chamber operas The Rape of Lucretia and The Turn of the Screw. In her work, she focuses on contemporary operas, producing to date Salvatore Sciarrino’s Luci mie traditrici and Superflumina (New Opera Days Ostrava, Warsaw Autumn), as well as contemporary operas by Wojciech Błażejczyk, Karol Nepelski and others. 

She is also involved in music education at all levels.
