Concert of distinguished students from the graduation concert at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music

Young people look for answers to questions: ‘What does it mean to perform music live?’, ‘Is the composer in control?’, ‘Precision or improvisation?’. One of them portrays today's political reality in a distorted mirror, comparing them to the events of the Workers’ Defense Committee [KOR] era, while the other, on the contrary, makes no attempt to convey any message.

We would like to invite you to a concert of debutants from the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow. Performed by their well-prepared fellow students, the music of these selected students is absolutely ready to confront the audience. Not since today has the Sacrum Profanum festival supported the local contemporary music community, especially young musicians. This selection is our distinction, a mark of quality for those artists whose work promisingly fits the profile of the festival.
