DK-based Canadian composer and pianist, Matt Choboter paints subliminal narratives that cross bridges between contemporary classical, improvised music and experimental. Informed by non-western cultures and eclectic spiritualism, he embraces dreams and Deep Psychology; immersive nature and a panpsychist existential orientation; a musical practice absorbing particular features of Just Intonation, South Indian classical and Balinese Gamelan. A member of ILK music collective (DK) and founder of chamber ensembles like Juniper Fuse (Kairos) and Hypnagogia, Matt’s music can be described as: “ephemeral and beautifully fragile” (Passive Aggressive, DK), “A realized musical dream” (MusicWorks, CAN) and "a voice that cannot be compared to anyone else’s” (Nettavisen, NO).
