Borja Díaz is a Seville based drummer known for his work with Spanish doom metal band Orthodox. Díaz's output also navigates between flamenco experimentation with Frente Abierto, free improvisation with Hidden Forces Trio or metal and noise music, among multiple other collaborations.
"Díaz’s fluid, jazzy playing purposely fills the void in a very direct, upfront fashion" - Dean Brown, Metal Hammer
"Careering, joyously expressive rhythms" - Steve Tovey, Ghost Cult Magazine
Having played and recorded in the past as part of free jazz quartet Spain Is The Place (with Ricardo Tejero on alto sax and Marco Serrato on double bass), Webster and Díaz will perform as a duo for the first time, looking back to some of their free form-meets-metal recordings from their different catalogues, such as "Prime" (Gaffer Records, 2015) by Dead Neanderthals or "Supreme" (Utech Records, 2017) by Orthodox.
