(born 1975) – musician, composer, founder of the Wrocław group Małe Instrumenty.
He received his musical education in the double bass class at the Primary State Music School in Bolesławiec. Since 2006, he has been developing his research in the field of unusual sound sources. He builds his own instruments, musical structures and creates sound installations. It has gathered a unique collection of over 600 unique instruments used in concert, recording and publishing activities. He has composed music for over 20 films and theatre performances. His work has been published in Poland, Japan and France. He has played about 300 concerts in Europe and Asia.
The group of his collaborators includes Pierre Bastien, Margaret Leng Tan, Evan Ziporyn, Jean-Marc Zelwer, Chris Baldwin, Ghédalia Tazartès, Andrzej Załęski, Robert Niziński, Paweł Czepułkowski, Piotr Kurek, Cinema Teather, Mariusz Wilczyński, Cezary Duchnowski, Kostas Georgakopulos, Paweł Hendrich, Sławomir Kupczak, Transfuzja, Księżyc, Svitlana Nianio, In-Between and many others.
He has performed at music and film festivals in Poland (including Warsaw Autumn, Musica Polonica Nova, Kody Festival of Traditional and Avant-garde Music, World Days Music, 70th anniversary of the Polish Composers’ Union, Industriada, Krakow Film Award, Animator, New Horizons IFF) and abroad (Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Davos Festival, SchulzFest Brno); he co-created the programme of the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016.
He conducts workshops, presentations, lectures and exhibitions related to instruments and sound experiments. His educational activities are addressed to people of all ages, including people with disabilities.
