Wolfram, the moniker of Dominik Kowalczyk, is one of the leading representatives of the Polish laptop scene.
He was born in 1969 in Warsaw. Former member of the Neurobot trio, recording solo since 2000 and performing in ad hoc bands. The list of his collaborators includes Thomas Ankersmit, Alexei Borisov, Xavier Charles, Phil Durrant, Facial Index, David Galbraith, Janko Hanushevsky, Martin Koller, Robert Piotrowicz, Ignaz Schick, Andrew Sharpley, Torben Tilly, Viön & Mem.
He recorded three albums with Neurobot, as well as seven solo discs. Together with his band, he explored the areas of improvised noise and power electronics. His solo projects focus on ambient and combining blurred soundscapes, leaving the noise elements aside.
