Heine Avdal

He studied dance, choreography and video at the National Academy of Arts in Oslo and at the P.A.R.T.S. School in Belgium. He created choreographic arrangements for performances in Oslo and New York. From 1997 to 2001 he worked for Meg Stuart’s Damaged Goods, where he met Japanese choreographer Yukiko Shinozaki. Since then, they have often worked together and are now working under the auspices of the fieldworks vxw organisation in Brussels. They have performed in many countries in Europe and Asia, as well as in the United States, Cuba and Lebanon.

His most frequently presented productions include: nothing's for something (2012), Field Works-office (2010), Field Works-hotel (2009), you are here (2008) – all in collaboration with Yukiko Shinozaki, as well as Some notes are (2006), Box with holes (2004) and terminal (2001).
