She studied ballet in Tokyo and modern dance at Portland State University. In 1992, she moved to New York and five years later, in 1997, she moved again to Brussels, where she worked for Meg Stuart’s Damaged Goods. Since 2000, she has focused on her own productions. She often works with Heine Avdal. Currently, the artists are working under the auspices of the Brussels-based fieldworks vxw organisation. They have performed in many countries in Europe and Asia, as well as in the United States, Cuba and Lebanon.
Her most frequently presented productions include: nothing's for something (2012), Field Works-office (2010), Field Works-hotel (2009), you are here (2008) – all in collaboration with Heine Avdal, as well as Inner Horizon (2005, in collaboration with Christelle Fillod).
