Małe Instrumenty is an artistic group focused on the pursuit of sound, using professional small-sized instruments, sound toys, interesting musical inventions and a vast variety of tiny objects that make sounds.
The ensemble was established on the initiative of Paweł Romańczuk in 2006. In 2009, Małe Instrumenty published its first album – Antonisz, featuring eleven compositions from experimental animated films by Julian Antonisz, re-interpreted by the band.
Their latest project was named Samoróbka and features an album – recorded using only hand-made instruments, a book by Paweł Romańczuk presenting the instruments created in the collective’s workshop, as well as a manual – a guide to experimenting with building the simplest and unique musical instruments.
