Arturas Bumšteinas is an experimental artist working with sound and music since the late 90s.
Artist believes in an utopia of „higginsian intermedia“ and is an outsider in all of the artistic disciplines. Nevertheless, he realises ideas within the contexts of concert, performance art, exhibition, radio, theater and music publishing. He is also the artistic director of Jauna Muzika festival which takes place every April in Vilnius.
His music and art projects were commissioned and presented by events and places like Holland Festival, Unsound, Tectonics, Skanumezs, Kody, Ultraschall, Deutschlandradio Kultur, Cricoteka, Operomanija, Vilnius' Contemporary Art Center, Vartai Gallery and MO Museum. In 2017 Arturas was a guest at the prestigious „Berliner Künstlerprogramme des DAAD“ artists' residency.
